Markdown Help Viewer Features
A versatile help viewer for an help system based on files in Markdown format (and also html), for Windows applications, plus a viewer component for Delphi developers.
Supports Windows 10 and 11 (for 32 and 64 bits platforms).
Uses the latest, empowered version of the Markdown Processor (2.1), compliant with CommonMark 0.31.2 and GitHub Flavored Markdown. The default dialect is GitHub: GFM plus math formulas, alerts and mermaid diagrams, with subscript, superscript, insert, mark, smart typography, heading ids, wiki links and videos. CommonMark, GFM, DaringFireball and TxtMark are still available.
The documents are shown with Microsoft Edge WebView2 (math formulas with KaTeX, mermaid diagrams, GitHub alerts, modern CSS). When WebView2 is not available, or it is disabled in the Settings, the viewer falls back to the internal HTML viewer.
Math formulas and mermaid diagrams (also charts: pie, bar and line charts) are drawn also without an Internet connection: the libraries (KaTeX and mermaid) are installed with the viewer.
Videos in the documents (
.mp4,.webm...), written as an image of the video file:(see Videos). WebView2 plays them; the internal HTML viewer shows a link that opens the player of the system.Images, videos and links are resolved as a browser does: write their path relative to the document, with
